CHRISTINA HOLLIS

Christina Hollis was born a few miles from Georgian Bath in England. She began writing from the moment she could hold a pencil. Her vivid imagination was an asset in English lessons at school, but didn’t go down too well in science studies.

After leaving school she worked as a clerical assistant in the financial sector, and later as a gopher in the marketing department. This was followed by a short stint as a technical librarian. She spent all her spare time writing, with some success. She met her husband on a blind date, and after a whirlwind romance they married six months later. It was his idea that she should take up writing full time. Freelance work for national magazines and newspapers followed, and six of her historical novels were published by Harlequin Mills and Boon under the pen name of Polly Forrester.

After a long break to raise a family, Christina took a refresher course in creative writing led by the Welsh poet Paul Groves. It worked, and in January 2007 her first Modern Romance, The Italian Billionaire’s Virgin was published by Harlequin Mills and Boon. When she isn’t writing, Christina loves pottering in the garden and grows a lot of home-grow fruit and vegetables. These come in useful for her other hobby, cooking. In 2008 she passed her basic beekeeping test, the first step toward producing honey as well as helping this endangered species and improving pollination around her garden.

Christina Hollis loves discovering the many ways attraction can develop into love. As her heroes and heroines discover things about one another they find out things about themselves, too. Hidden hurts and deeply buried disappointments can’t always be cured, but everything improves when it is touched by love.
